Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the DateIQ Chrome extension.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing and using DateIQ, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not install or use the extension.

2. Description of Service

DateIQ is a browser extension that passively intercepts API responses from dating platforms as you browse. The extension:

Captures and stores data locally on your device
Does not make direct API calls to dating platform services
Does not transmit your data to DateIQ-operated servers
Provides optional AI-powered reply suggestions using your own API keys and a third-party AI provider

3. AI-Generated Reply Suggestions

By using the AI reply suggestion feature, you acknowledge and agree that:

Conversation data processing: Conversation snippets from your matches will be sent directly from your browser to a third-party AI provider (such as OpenRouter, OpenAI, or Anthropic) to generate reply suggestions. DateIQ strips identifiable information (e.g., replacing names with placeholders) before transmission, but the conversation content itself is transmitted.
Consent to third-party processing: You consent to your conversation data being processed by the third-party AI provider in accordance with their terms of service and privacy policy. You are responsible for reviewing and accepting those terms.
No guarantee of quality or appropriateness: AI-generated replies are suggestions only. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and choosing whether to send any AI-generated content. DateIQ does not guarantee that suggestions will be appropriate, accurate, or effective.
User responsibility: You are fully responsible for any messages you send using AI-generated suggestions. DateIQ is not liable for any consequences arising from the use of AI-generated content in your conversations.
Optional feature: The AI reply feature is entirely optional. You can use DateIQ without enabling it.

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Complying with the terms of service of any platform you use alongside DateIQ
Understanding that use of browser extensions to capture data may violate third-party terms of service
Any consequences that may arise from the use of this extension, including the use of AI-generated replies
Securing your local data and API keys
Reviewing and accepting the terms and privacy policies of any third-party AI provider you use through DateIQ

5. Data Storage and Privacy

All data captured by DateIQ is stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage APIs. We do not:

Collect, transmit, or store any user data on our servers
Have access to your captured data
Track your usage of the extension
Use analytics or telemetry

When using the AI reply feature, conversation snippets are sent directly from your browser to the third-party AI provider and are not stored or logged by DateIQ. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

6. No Warranty

DateIQ is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:

Continuous, uninterrupted access to the extension
That the extension will work with future platform updates
That use of the extension will not result in account restrictions on third-party platforms
The quality, accuracy, or appropriateness of AI-generated reply suggestions

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall DateIQ or its contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the extension, including but not limited to damages arising from the use of AI-generated content or the transmission of data to third-party AI providers.

8. Intellectual Property

DateIQ and its source code are proprietary. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or modification of the extension is prohibited.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
